Looking through my catalogue of Autumn photos I have found a few shots of an early morning sunrise. This is due to the fact that most mornings I am in a rush to get to work and don’t often have my camera to hand. However a few days ago I was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time to capture this shot.
Sun over Church Steeple
Within 20 seconds or so the light had completely changed.
I love taking photos of sunsets and clouds
But I really like the setting sun reflections over water
Sunset over Water
Sunset over Lake

Sometimes it is worth the time just to stop and take a wander around places that you often drive through on the way to somewhere else.
Because you may get to see the familiar in a different viewpoint.

Just as well as I had my camera
When it’s raining outside I use the time to do some research via the internet. Recently I came across a blog that posts material from the local papers from a hundred years ago for WW1 – its on my blog-roll if you fancy a look.
There is a road that runs parallel to the car park of one of my local supermarkets and when it rains heavily it becomes a small stream in parts, and yet cars still drive down there AND get stuck. Weirdly enough near yet another supermarket not too far from me – on the main road no less I watched a car zoom through the standing water, the spray must have been at least 8 foot high if not more – covered the 4×4 and most of the shop windows – luckily the shoppers were all inside sheltering from the cloud burst.

If you have a question – it is very helpful if you ask the right person. Some people go through life asking the wrong question of the wrong people.
There is a little tale that has been used in many literary works, the hero approaches two guardians – one speaks only the truth and the other only lies, and the hero needs to go on with his quest and can only ask one question of each guard.
He asks the right question and goes on his way.
