For a walk around a Local Nature Reserve (LNR)
No visitor centres, no other people. Just Nature!
Alas no sounds of yellow-hammers singing about bread and no cheese.
Just the alarm calls of the pheasants and other ground nesting birds as I ventured too close to them on my walk.
It the distance I could hear……….. the roar of a train as it hurtled along the tracks.
In seconds it was gone.
Peace at last
After along walk around the meadow (always following the paths laid out)
I returned to my starting point, collecting only memories and photos.

Have become the Sunday for me in as much as lately I have exchanged my Sunday morning walks for Saturdays.
It is always good to change things around.
You can still find the ‘quiet’
If you take the time to look……

Just a few photos from last years day trip to Woburn Abbey and Gardens
As you can see this little chap was more than happy to pose for his photo
His friends were a little shy, though they are very vocal birds
These next shots remind me of all the secret passages from all the Enid Blyton books I read as a child
It was a great day out, one I hope to repeat as there is always something interesting to see.

Sometimes a walk through a meadow
is so relaxing…. as long as I remember my anti histamine tablets
