Just a few photos from last years day trip to Woburn Abbey and Gardens
As you can see this little chap was more than happy to pose for his photo
His friends were a little shy, though they are very vocal birds
These next shots remind me of all the secret passages from all the Enid Blyton books I read as a child
It was a great day out, one I hope to repeat as there is always something interesting to see.

Mondays, Tuesdays ………. it doesn’t matter what day of the week it is. I just love to photograph birds.
Sometimes it’s easier to count the family members than others.
Or seeing where they have decided to build a nest this year

After the Beast from the East I am looking forward to Spring
Because you never know what you may see.
On a very chilly but sunny Sunday afternoon
I took a quick walk though Foster Hill Road Cemetery Bedford
I was there to listen to a very entertaining talk by author Ruth Hogan (Keeper of Lost Things) but took the time to take a few photos with my trusty camera on my way out.

It was a little chilly out side yesterday (Sunday) so I took a brisk walk rather than my usual saunter.
However shortly after this photo was taken, it began to rain which turned very quickly into sleet.
Flicking through old photo albums, or clicking on digital images on your PC. Its the same. That moment in time when you pressed the shutter and captured that image.

As I wander around from place to place (with my trusty camera) I see buildings old and new. Some still in regular use, and others just waiting, waiting until they are ‘repurposed’
I see a lot of churches, large and small, and I wonder if those who built them ever thought of how long the building would last.
or how these stately homes would adapt and survive
This building below
however has had many uses throughout the years.
